Day 2 of my hike, I hiked 12 miles from Eagle, NE to Nebraska's Capital of Lincoln, NE. I continued to take the MoPac Trail from Eagle untill I got to Lincoln. Along the way I messaged my Aunt Deb who lives in Lincoln and asked if I could possibly stay the night. Of course the answer was yes. It had been a year almost since I saw her and my Uncle Will. So my Uncle Will picked me up as I approched the eastern side of Lincoln. My Aunt Deb had lasagna ready for my consumption when I got there. Day 3 of the journey. I ending up staying a extra night with my aunt and uncle as my body was sore from the pass two days. Day 4 of the journey. My Aunt Deb dropped me off in Emerald,NE just 5 miles north of their house. Where I hiked 5 more miles to Pawnee State Recreational Area. I set up camp there, where I enjoyed a dehydrated meal. There where nice sights to see along the way. I am glad I am on this journey. I haven't run into anymore thru-hikers besides myself. Hopefully if I make it to Colorado I will run into some like-minded folk.
