Why Would You?

I use to keep a quote from George Bernard Shaw on a piece of paper in a old scrap book that said, "You see things; and you say 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say 'Why not?'" I didn't plan this journey for months on end. I dreamt about hiking for months on end. But planning, No. This month I got COVID and had to quarantine in my home. It made me restless and question my current lifestyle. It gave me a lot of time to think of the person I want to be, and who I am not. It made me think about my relationship with God and how I haven't felt his presence (spirit) in years. I use to feel God's presence when I was younger through nature and sunsets. I want to find God again and I want to find the woman I am meant to be. Some people need a book, a self help group, or treatment, to find themselves again. I need adventure, struggle, pain, beauty, and the unknown to find God and myself. Because the God I use to know is wild, untamed, compassionate, and a lover to all. So why should I want to hike over 4000 miles and thousands of dollars to find God creator of the Universe presence and spirit? Because it's worth my life story to do it.
